Opening the media

First step is obviously launching MacMPEG2Decoder. This should give you the MacMPEG2Decoder main window. Drag the MPEG2 file you want to decode to that window. This should result in something like the following:

You can add as many files as you want, this allows for batch decoding.

Selecting a codec

Now you'll want to select the video codec you want to compress the movie with. You do this by clicking the 'Settings' button. The standard QT codec selection dialog should now pop up. It's pretty straight-forward to use so I'm not going into that now.

Selecting a destination

Click the 'Destination' button and select the folder where the QT movie should be saved to.
